Meeting Rural Health Care Needs Through Integrated Delivery Systems, Proceedings, National Institute for Health Care Management, July 1994, 68 pp. The text presents the proceedings of a videoconference sponsored by NIHCM. The conference's purpose was to link policy and legislative issues facing health care reformers with the practical realities of delivering health care to a rural population. The conference featured speakers from Iowa, Washington and Arkansas who discussed functional, integrated delivery systems that have been established in rural areas.

Rural Integrated Service Networks: The Impact of Current Health Reform Proposals, Andrew F. Coburn and Keith J. Mueller, July 1994, 14 pp. This paper examines how key provisions in health care reform legislation proposed in 1993-94, centered primarily on universal coverage and financing insurance for the uninsured, would affect the development of rural integrated service networks (ISNs).
