Upcoming Webinar: Adolescent & Young Adult Health in the Post Reform Era

July 14th 2010

NIHCM will host a webinar, "Adolescent & Young Adult Health in the Post Reform Era," on August 17, 2010 at 1:00 PM (EDT). Adolescents and young adults are more likely to be uninsured than any other age group.  Implementation of health reform and the reauthorization of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIPRA) are expected to change this reality by improving affordability and expanding both public and private coverage.  However, as more young adults are able to stay on their parents’ health insurance plans, ensuring access to confidential services, especially reproductive health care, will become even more important.  Additional provisions will improve access to clinical preventive services for adolescents, making the need for adolescent-specific quality measurement tools vital. This webinar will bring together health plans and leaders in the adolescent health community to discuss the impact of health reform and CHIPRA on access to high-quality, confidential health care services for adolescents and young adults.
