Donald M. Berwick, MD

Dr. Berwick served as Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services under appointment by President Obama from 2010 to 2011. Previously, he was the president and CEO of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement for nearly 20 years. Dr. Berwick is also a former professor of Pediatrics and Health Care Policy at the Harvard Medical School and a professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard School of Public Health. He holds an MD from Harvard Medical School and an MPP from the John F. Kennedy School of Government.
