James C. Capretta, MA
Senior Fellow and Milton Friedman Chair, American Enterprise Institute
Mr. Capretta held positions in the federal government for over sixteen years, including as Associate Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget from 2001 to 2004 and in the 1990s as senior analyst for health care and social security issues in Congress. Prior to holding his current position at AEI, he was a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. He is a well-known analyst and commentator and author of numerous reports and articles. Mr. Capretta holds an MA in public policy studies from Duke University and a BA in government from the University of Notre Dame.
