The potential effects of the ACA’s new premium tax credits and employer penalties on the group market are hotly debated, but relentless increases in health care costs have already begun to drive change. While some employers are considering dropping coverage or reducing full-time workers, others are turning to tools such as value-based networks and private exchanges in an effort to stabilize costs while providing competitive benefits. Given that 89 percent of the non-elderly privately insured get coverage through an employer, the decisions made on this front will have broad impact.

To shed light on trends in employer-sponsored insurance, this webinar covered the following topics:

  • the policies and economic realities affecting employer decisions on health insurance
  • the intentions of employers moving forward and their openness to creative cost-control solutions
  • the strategies insurers are using to help organizations navigate health care coverage options
