This infographic depicts how disparities in new HIV infections are widening. One in seven of the 1.1 million people in the U.S. living with HIV do not know they are infected.
More than half of all new HIV diagnoses in 2017 were concentrated in the South. While only representing 13% of the U.S. population, 43% of people newly diagnosed with HIV in 2017 were black/African American.
