Social Isolation and Loneliness Among the Aging Population
Part of "COVID-19 Webinar Miniseries"
Time & Location
13.8 million adults over the age of 65 live on their own. While essential in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, stay-at-home and other social distancing policies can have severe physical and mental health implications for older adults that live alone. During this webinar, CareMore’s Robin Caruso, UCSF’s Matt Pantell, and The Commonwealth Fund’s Tanya Shah discussed the consequences of social isolation, as well as potential interventions that government leaders, providers and communities can implement.
This webinar is a project of the Alliance for Health Policy and NIHCM Foundation, in collaboration with The Commonwealth Fund.
