Assessing Postpartum Care Among Medicaid Beneficiaries in an Era of Expanded Access and Telehealth Services

This study will investigate how the extension of Medicaid benefits from 60 days to one year postpartum and the rapid adoption of telehealth services during the COVID-19 pandemic affected the provision of adequate postpartum care and the use of services in the 60-day-to-one-year postpartum period. Differences in outcomes by race and ethnicity will also be assessed. Findings should improve the understanding of the adequacy and provision of postpartum care services following these policy changes and identify remaining inequities.
