Recipient:
Sarah Walsh, Eastern Michigan University
Grant Period:
Jan 01, 2022 - Dec 31, 2022
AMOUNT:
$47,731.00
Summary of the Project:
This study will estimate whether receipt of Meals on Wheels services by frail elder adults reduces the likelihood or delays the occurrence of a subsequent hospitalization or permanent nursing home placement, relative to similarly frail elders who did not receive meal deliveries. The analyses will also explore differential program impacts by race/ethnicity, age and gender. Results may help to solidify more financial support for meal delivery programs.
