Summary of the Project:
This study will use comprehensive claims data from Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and other sources from 2015 through at least the first year of the coronavirus pandemic to examine pandemic-related changes health plan member mix, utilization and spending, practice patterns, and patient outcomes. Findings will provide insights into the health system impacts of unprecedented disruptions occurring in the early waves of the pandemic.
