This year’s winners uncovered secrets about the origins of COVID-19, the approval of controversial new drugs, highlighted the need for more effective solutions to environmental hazards and health inequities, and broke new ground on possible links between mortality and health care coverage. The full body of work honored this year raises awareness of the need to take a new look at many issues that impact our health now and in the future.
