Mike Leavitt Joins NIHCM Foundation Advisory Board

Washington, D.C., March 30, 2016 – Governor Mike Leavitt has joined the Advisory Board of the National Institute for Health Care Management (NIHCM) Foundation. Under President George W. Bush, Leavitt served as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency and then as Secretary of Health & Human Services, where he lead the implementation of the Medicare Part D program.

Previously, Leavitt was also a three-term Governor of Utah and the President and CEO of The Leavitt Group, an insurance brokerage. He is currently the Founder and Chairman of the health care intelligence firm Leavitt Partners.

"With his background as a leader in state government, federal government and the private sector, Mike brings a remarkably broad perspective to our organization," said Nancy Chockley, President and CEO of NIHCM Foundation. "We are fortunate to have his guidance navigating the shifting terrain of health care going forward."
