Winners Announced for the 27th Annual NIHCM Awards

The 2021 NIHCM Awards in Journalism and Research recognize extraordinary work accomplished under extraordinary circumstances. This year’s journalism winners deployed stunning investigations, revelatory storytelling, and cutting-edge digital tools to show the impact of COVID-19 on America. The work informed policy and gave voice to factory workers, farmers, health care providers and many others whose lives were disrupted or lost during the pandemic.

Our research winner catalyzed change on a critical issue for health care consumers — surprise billing, revealing market failures and advancing legislation.
