Advancing Mental Health During the Pandemic and Beyond
Part of "COVID-19 Webinar Miniseries"
Time & Location
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the mental health and well-being of many Americans. Studies have shown that nearly half of Americans expressed that they are feeling a decline in their mental health since the novel coronavirus arrived in the U.S. Experts believe that the resulting economic recession, increased isolation, and decreased access to physical or mental health care as a result of COVID-19 will have long-term implications for mental health. During this webinar, panelists addressed the following learning goals:
- The short- and long-term impact of COVID-19 on mental health and well-being;
- Evidence-based interventions and promising technology to reach people where they are and improve outcomes; and
- Sustainable solutions to address the mental health impact of COVID-19 and advance access to behavioral health services beyond the pandemic
This webinar is a project of the Alliance for Health Policy and NIHCM Foundation, in collaboration with The Commonwealth Fund.
