Can Transparency Improve Health Care Quality?

Outside of a few shining examples, broad efforts to improve health care quality through greater transparency have yielded mixed results and met with fierce resistance by hospitals and doctors. This webinar, hosted by USC Annenberg’s Center for Health Journalism with support from NIHCM Foundation, explored the potential of transparency to improve health care outcomes, while asking why such efforts haven’t always met expectations.
