Reporting on America’s Opioid Drug Crisis

The opioid epidemic in the U.S. continues to claim more and more lives each year, with opioid-related deaths rising to 33,000 in 2015. This webinar, hosted by USC Annenberg’s Center for Health Journalism with support from NIHCM Foundation, provided an overview of the epidemic, including the new geography of addiction, and offered approaches for reporters to cover this evolving crisis.
