Peter Bach joined other forward-thinking leaders at NIHCM’s Capitol Hill briefing in May to discuss innovations in health care with a focus on tackling rising drug prices while still encouraging development of high-value drugs.

“There have to be rewards there for private sector investment. But what are the opportunity costs? And that’s what we’re trying to get people to see. If you have drugs that are unaffordable, a new innovation that doesn’t get to a patient actually doesn’t help them.”
