Jan 01, 2021 - Dec 31, 2021
Summary of the Project:
This study will use Medicare claims linked to data on drug industry payments to physicians to assess whether oncologists who have received payments from manufacturers of anticancer drugs are more likely to prescribe those drugs even when other treatments would be more effective or less expensive. Study findings will be directly relevant to policies regulating drug promotion and financial conflict of interest.
