Finalists Announced for the 27th Annual NIHCM Awards in Journalism and Research
The NIHCM Foundation is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2021 NIHCM Awards in journalism and research. This year's entries reflect journalists’ efforts to honor the trust the public placed in them to deliver the most accurate and insightful reporting on COVID-19 and researchers’ dedication to advancing work on critical issues in health care.
“We have a 27-year history of honoring the best health reporting and research, but by any measure, this year’s finalists are extraordinary. Our entrants placed a strong emphasis on high-impact work on disparities in at-risk populations, racial justice, and improving a broad spectrum of health outcomes. Our journalism finalists produced groundbreaking investigations and inspiring stories; while our research finalists conducted rigorous studies that will likely spur innovation and improve care,” said NIHCM Founding President and CEO, Nancy Chockley.
The 45 finalists were selected by our independent panel of judges from 400 total entries. The winning entry in each category will be announced in April and will receive a $15,000 to $20,000 cash prize.
