Increase in Child Food Insecurity

Recent data from the United States Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service details the impact of food security on children. Food insecurity has a multitude of definitions. The term "food insecure" encompasses households that are unable to provide consistent access to food for their children. The term "very low food security" encompasses children that did not eat for a whole day, skipped meals, or were hungry because they did not have access to food.
